what is the average hourly rate for a good CPA in the NY Metro area?

I own an S-Corp and have a big hefty binder of receipts for the poor guy to help me sort out. :( So, it will be a pretty involved process to say the least. Also, I will need my and my husband’s personal returns to be filed as well. Just looking for a ballpark rate for a good CPA in the NY Metro area, flat fee or hourly. Thanks in advance! :)

is there an exception or exemption for such case. I currently invested in an accounting company that runs via internet but don’t have a valid CPA license for their state. What can be the consequences?

In which states is the CPA reciprocal to New York?

I live in California but would like to live in New York. In which of those reciprocal states is the easiest and fastest to obtain? Is the CPA in CA hard? I’ve heard that in Maine you only need a bachelors. Is this true? I have a bachelors in Finance and took 2 accounting classes. I have no experience.

Should I start studying for my CPA exam or do my masters?

I graduated with my Bachelors in Accounting in 2007. I have worked as an Accountant since then. I want to improve my skills and get a better job. Should I go to grad school, or should I buy a CPA book and start studying for my CPA exam? I have learned a lot from being an accountant, and what would be more beneficial for me? Would I be able to take my CPA exam (and understand its information) without doing my masters?

Is it necessary to obtain an MBA degree as an Accountant if you have a CPA license?

When I graduate from college, I will have 136 credit hours. The reason for this is because I changed my major. Because of this, I will only need 14 credits or 5 classes to be able to get my CPA license. I’ve seen online that many Controller or CFO positions require a CPA and prefer an MBA. So I was just wondering if a BBA and a CPA is enough to make it far in Accounting?

How Will A CPA Reimburse What You Spent For Company?

I used my own credit card to buy things that my boss said was Ok for my company. What will a CPA do when I take my transactions, receipt to them? Take money from the company’s credit card account or basically my boss’s account? How will they reimburse me?
So either way all I do is take my credit card statement, my receipt and just walk into a cpa?

I do have my gas receipt I saved when I used my car to go meet clients.

Does it makes any difference to obtain a CPA license from California or New York?

I am not sure where will i stay (permanently) reside and get a job, but either New York or California. And i am about to pursue my CPA licensure. Is there any difference in obtaining the license at two different state? For example, if i get my license from CA will it be difficult for me to get a job in NY and vice versa? Please advice.
