I am in the WI National Guard and have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. I am planning on taking the CPA exam this summer, but would like to use the military benefits for it if they exist— I know they offer like C++ certification and CLEP exams for free and stuff like that….
Does anyone know if the army offers a program to study for the CPA exam (such as a Becker Review Course) or if they will pay for the exam itself?
Thanks!

and I heard Maine requires only bachelor degree. I have BA in economics and don’t have enough accounting credits for California exam. The idea of being a Maine us cpa and working in California is possible?

Is there anyone to verify this, or anyone can say that they’re a CPA?

Please only answer if you are a CPA or have knowledge of the CPA requirements. I have taken principles of accounting, managerial accounting and intermediate accounting. I am thinking about taking income tax, auditing, and advanced accounting. Do you have any other recommendations for classes to take?

fwiw, I’m a loan officer who is 1099′d. I am currently undergoing an audit for the years of 2004 and 2005. i have probably paid my cpa in the neighboorhood of ,000 dollars thus far and i was just curious if I could write off this money as a business expense, or in some other way.

I work for a very small cpa firm that does contract audits. I’m close to reaching my hours and want to know if the firm is required to sign off my hours when I have met the hours requirement.
I meant to ask do they have to sign off my hours for me or can they say we won’t sign it.
