What are the average salaries of a CPA?
I am thinking of going to college to become a CPA. Are there "ranks" in that field as in moving up in the business?

I am graduating with a BS in Accounting from a NJ college, I have only 4 credits of corporate finance. In order to sit for the CPA in NY i need 6 credits. I’m taking an economic forcasting and investing class in the Fall. Will this class count towards my 6 credits, also can I take this class pass/fail, or does the AICPA care about my grade?
I plan to open an S Corporation. I can do my own accounting since it is simple and I think can handle it myself. However, I wonder if the law requires to use an accountant or CPA?
I know the CPA license is essential for an accountant to move up the ladder in public accounting firms. But I also noticed that a lot of companies’ job postings for "senior accountant" and "accounting manager" positions say that a CPA is required, or is desired. Is it because you need to be a CPA to have a management accounting position in private accounting? Or are these companies simply looking for well-qualified candidates for the position?
I will be graduating in about a year with double major in accounting and finance, which will give me 150 credits to sit for the CPA. How should i handle the CPA. Should i study for it right after getting my degree, or should i look for a job first. And how long should i study for each part, will i be finished with my CPA within a year. I also want to get a MBA sometime in the future. Thanks in advance.
I am doing CPA n would like to know if thats the best choice as compared to the others.
In addition, what designation is more prestigious, the CPA or CFA?
I am currently doing my masters in Finance, but I have a BSc in Accounting and another in International Business Emphasis in Finance.
I am an Accountant at a Fortune 100 company, I want to swtich and work in Hedge Funds, but the problem I am running into is whether it’s worth for me to get the CPA, CAIA or CFA license.
Thanks.
I current have my Associates and I’m working on my Bachelors, I have worked a few Accounts Clerks job doing A/P, A/R. Payroll etc. Is there any state that will allow me to take the CPA without having yet earned my Bachelors degree?
I have 142 credit hours from my BA in Accounting meeting all the course requirements from CPA guidelines in NY state. All I need is extra 8 credit hours. Can I just take continuing education courses at NYU without going for a graduate degree??? Or maybe CPA prep courses?
