Like, do you have to be a CPA to find a good job in accounting? If I just want to work for a company and make -k a year, would I need to be a CPA? Or CPA something different?
lol Thanks. I don’t know if I want to be a CPA, but I think I’ll take the exam anyway, as well. Haha!

Or does it begin once you pass your first section?

I plan to get a job in a CPA Firm while trying to qualify for and pass the CPA Exam (It requires 2 years of work under a licensed CPA).

I am 18 and am thinking of starting a career in Accounting..
But the thing is some of my friends have said that you need to be a chartered accountant in order to meet the requirements of a CPA. Is it true or can I just start with the CPA course.

I do not mean simply allowing one to sit for the CPA exam, I mean licensing a person to advertise themself and practice as a CPA, e.g., auditing company financial statements.

I am a CPA and am thinking of joining the guard?
I want to work in a non combat role in the Army guard, doing accounting or auditing work. Can I join and serve in a non combatant role?

CPA Exam, BEC Section

I am a professional musician who wants to change/augment my career and become an accountant. I see online accounting degree programs, or accounting certification programs that prepare you for the CPA.

Would a potential employer rather have an applicant with an accounting degree but no CPA, or a certificate and a CPA but no degree?

Should I be working temp entry level jobs while taking classes?

I have years of experience in Corporate Accounting and I am in the process of being a CPA, but I don’t have any public accounting experience.

- Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA or FCCA)
- Chartered Accountant (FCA, CA or ACA)
- International Accountant (FAIA or AAIA)
- Management Accountant (ACMA, FCMA or AICWA)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified General Accountant (CGA or FCGA)

Do most people become CPA’s?

Thanks for all the answers!
