Who ends up getting paid more in general, a CPA of an Engineer?
I’m not talking about CEO or CFO vs engineer. I’m talking CPA with a few year experience VS a masters in engineering with a few years of experience.

Please, no local firms. I want to know what people think is the best between the Big 4 and second tier. KPMG, Deloitte, E&Y, PwC, Grant Thornton, BKD, BDO, etc. (I am sure I left a few out). Let me know which firm (or firms if they are different for quality and environment) and WHY you think so.
Almost 1 year experience in turnaround and restructuring consulting, about 2.5 years in audit at a Big 4, and 3 years in equity research

Also, what position would I qualify for? Assistant Controller, Controller, etc.? I have such a varied skillset, not sure which is the best move at this juncture?
I graduated from a private catholic college with a 3.2 gpa in accounting, and had a decent amount of extracurriculars. Now I’m a CPA with almost 3 years work experience in a NYC accounting firm. I know my GPA is at the very low end for top 25 law schools. Is it even worth trying to get into, say, Fordham?
LSAT was 160
I think you meant where, not were. Thanks.
I’m currently in college studying accounting. Right now my goal is to finish my degree and become a CPA. I hear quite often that CPAs have a poor work/life balance. I’ve heard they put it lots of hours and don’t get paid that well for what they out in. Is this true? I dont mind putting in extra effort but I don’t want to feel like my job dictates my life.
If I take Phoenix Universitys online program, Can I use that degree(credits) towards the CPA examination or do they not recognize online degree credits for the the CPA test.
ps. I think there are still some states that have 120 credits requirement for the CPA test
I have an MBA and I am wondering if I should go on getting a Black belt certification in Six Sigma ( NOT KARATE you guys!) OR become a CPA? Given the current job market which one makes more sense, CPA or Black belt in six sigma?
i intend to live in usa next year so i want to get a good job in my accounting field so i want to study from now for cpa exam but i do not know what is the reference that i study at home is it by special books or special website?
I live in California and am not far from getting an Associates in Accounting but does it come with opportunities? Can I just start off small and get experience and eventually take the CPA exam in a few years? I would love to continue my education but work and school are kickin’ my butt, I’m holding a high GPA but it hasn’t been easy. Yes I know, nobody said it was going to be.
Hi Guys, I’m enrolling in the Becker CPA Review. The cost of the Review is covered by my Company but not add-ons like the flash cards and the final review CD. I am doing self study CD. Do you think it would be a good idea to purchase the flash cards and the final review CD as well? They are kind of pricey for a poor student especially the final review, but I willing to buy if they are actually useful.
