What are the Pros & Cons about being a CPA?

I plan to stay in finance and understand that in certain states, like mine, you need a minimum amount of experience to get licensed in addition to passing the exam. How do you refer to people who have passed the exam but haven’t practiced accounting?

I am in outside sales in Boston and have many deductions. My current accountant upped his rate to 0, is this reasonable? I think he got me a decent return last year but have heard he is high priced.

Anyone living in Sacramento CA region; any idea on how much it’d cost to get a CPA? Especially if I want to start a LLC and need a CPA’s experience in doing so.

Like the number and formulas about tax you know. A lot of numbers I can not remember them all. I can do it if I know the numbers. Example, foreign income tax and ect. Each year they change the number like crazy.

I have the required number of credit hours in Ohio and am eligible to sit for the CPA exam. I plan to move to North Carolina within the year. I am trying to decide if I should wait until I get to North Carolina to get my CPA or if it is most wise to get it while I am in Ohio. I think in NC I will have to attend grad school in order to be qualified to take the exam but here in Ohio there are different requirements. I meet the requirements here. Is there anyone who has an opinion on my best course of action or where I can get an answer?
