CPA Archives

Hey. I have recently started to prepare for CPA. I am preparing for financial now. I have two questions:

1) What does the Regulation, business, and Audit exam constitute of. I mean are they more logical like financial, or is there more to memorize ( more theoratical)

2) With, CPA, I want to go in to consultancy and leave the accountancy, number concentrated stuff alone. What are my chances…

Thanks alot!

I will begin working as an entry-level staff accountant/auditor for a large, regional accounting firm. How far up the ranks can I get without passing the CPA?

I like following a schedule and having a good routine down. I don’t mind working in an office and doing paperwork. As long as I’m actually doing something. I would enjoy it. I just need to know if this would really be a good job for me.

What types of things do Accountants/CPA’s actually do? I know you obviously work with numbers but I know it’s not just adding/subtracting/multiplying thngs. There is more to it. Can someone explain?

Different types of CPA licenses in California?

I believe there are different types of CPA licenses in California.
One that you can perform audit and sign the documents as auditor, and the other one you cannot.
How many different types of CPA licenses are there in California and what’s the name of each? I remember someone saying there is a license called G license. I have no idea what that means, but I think it’s a kind of CPA license. Please help! Thank you.

I know it is up to personal preference…but just based on your personal experiences, what order worked well for you? I am about to sign up for Becker courses, so I will need to have an order to the 4 parts. Do people usually begin with a certain part? Or end with one? I don’t know many CPA’s, so I could use your input. Thanks.

What are the requirements for geting a CPA?

hi, I am going to be a senior in college, my major is math, but I do not know what I can do with a math major, and I heard someone told me that to take some accounting classes and to become a CPA. I am wondering how many accounting classes I need to take, so that I can become a CPA? Thank you for your input.

Is the exam hard? What are the requirements? What are the steps and suggestions if you have any?

I have been considering doing a short sale. But I know if I owe 8 and I get 0, then I owe taxes on the difference because the bank considers it a gift. If I do a foreclosure, will I have to pay taxes on that?

Im 27, when i was 23 i got a D-Felony conviction for possession of marijuan- i want to go back to school for accountant and eventually my CPA, can you become a CPA in NY with these charges, or is it just pointless?

I am filling out a first-time application to take the CPA exam in Ohio. It asks for 4 references who are "personally acquainted with me…and believe me to be of good moral character." Are family and friends acceptable? Also, does the accounting board contact these people?
