I do have a bachelors in biology and a masters in healthcare administration in which I studied hospital accounting. I have been working as an accountant for a medical group for ten years. I feel that I could pass the exam with a little studying, but do not want to go back to school just to get a bachelors degree in accounting, just to become a cpa. Does anyone know if you must have a bs in accounting or can you meet the requirements another way? Thank you

I’m not sure if I would become a good accountant. Will passing the CPA exam mean that I "CAN" become a good accountant?

My CPA prepared my return for the last five years. I was audited for the last two years and have tax due along with accuracy related penalties as well as interest. The CPA is paying the penalties and interest, but does this make that amount taxable income to me?
I am paying the additional tax due and the CPA is sending me a check to cover the penalties and interest. Is the amount the CPA is sending me taxable income?

I have an accounting degree, am working on the CPA exam, and will complete my MS in Finance from a reputable school by next summer. I am looking for some insight as to what entry-level jobs might be in accounting, finance, consulting, etc with high growth potential, and that would want to utilize both finance and accounting knowledge. Thank you!

I’ve decided to go back to school (in a little over a year or so) and I want to become a Certified Public Accountant. Can anyone shed a little light on the process: The college credits, the degree you have to get, and just the basic steps you have to follow?
