Course Requirements to sit for the CPA in CT?
I will be graduating next semester with 123 credits and I plan on
sitting for the CPA exam in Connecticut after graduation. This
semester I am taking auditing and taxation 1. Next semester, I will be
taking informational systems control and audit, and advanced
accounting. My college is offering Taxation II as an elective. Is
Taxation II a requirement in order to sit for the CPA? It is not a
mandatory class for accounting majors at my college, I would like to know if I must take it in order to sit for the CPA.
Thank you!

The CPA exam does not care WHAT classes you takes as long as you have the right amount of TOTAL accounting credits to sit for the exam. Double check that you have enough credits for the exam. Almost every state now requires AT LEAST 150 credits.
You need more credits. 123 is not enough. (CPA is turning into a five year degree.)
