I have a bachelors in finance and would like to get my CPA?
I am going to get my bachelors degree in business administration with a concentration in finance at the end of this month. However, now I am interested in going into accounting and obtaining my CPA. I don’t have enough hours to sit for the exam so should I just go to MBA school to get the hours? Or is there another path I can take?
Should I just stay another year at my school to take more accounting classes to fulfill the hours?

If you do not have enough hours to sit for the CPA Exam, it is definitely worth going back to school to get the units. The benefits will outweigh the costs in the long run for sure.
By getting your MBA, you are also increasing your post-baccelaureate education as well and making yourself more valuable to potential employers. An MBA + a CPA would be awesome! However, if that is too costly or time consuming, look into just taking some community college classes to fill the credits.
Make sure you are meeting the minimum number of accounting and finance classes too. You can check your state requirements here: http://www.rogercpareview.com/cpa-exam-state-requirements-overview.cfm
Lastly, I would consider looking into a program where you can do your CPA Review and also get course credit for it. I know that Roger CPA Review has just set up a program with Golden Gate University that offers 6 undergraduate or graduate credits for their CPA Review Course. This could be a great option to get both done at once!
I hope that this helps!
umm you probably had to major in accounting to be able to successfully pass the CPA exam.
Just take the accounting courses. It’s the most directly relevant to your goals. Once you get a CPA nobody will care what your educational background was. So just take the shortest route.
