I have graduated with Masters in accounting degree last year and hasn’t been able to get a job in a CPA firm. I am 30 and may be they think I’m too old to start a career. Anyway, since I am unemployed, I am taking a CPA exam. I hope it would help me later with a job. How high are my chances to get hired if I pass a CPA exam? Also, is it hard to transfer CPA exam to another state?

I have an accounting degree, am working on the CPA exam, and will complete my MS in Finance from a reputable school by next summer. I am looking for some insight as to what entry-level jobs might be in accounting, finance, consulting, etc with high growth potential, and that would want to utilize both finance and accounting knowledge. Thank you!

Im going to college this year and Im currently registered for paraprofessional accounting degree which is an associates in applied sciences degree. Should i change to an AA or AS degree to further my degree and eventually get my CPA?

Is it possible to pass the CPA this fast?

I graduate with my Accounting Degree in May, I was wondering if I can pass all four parts of the CPA by September. I will be studying full time with the Becker Review and not working at all. Is this a realistic goal or will I just go insane? I plan I taking one part every month all summer.

I started taking classes at the University of Phoenix for my MBA (have a Business Administration degree already), then I decided to start taking classes at a local University to get my accounting degree. Is is worth it to get the MBA with the accounting concentration from UoP and will help me get the classes I need to take the CPA exam?

I’m going back to school after being downsized. I’m 50yrs old so time is a concern. I am planning to get an accounting degree. If I go to a business school will I qualify to take the CPA test in California?

I only took a few accounting classes to qualify to sit in the CPA exam. I am wondering if I only study the 4 Becker CPA Review books, will I able to pass the exam?

Not sure if that contains enough study material. That maybe good enough for people with accounting degree. How about for others?

Great thanks!

I am a professional musician who wants to change/augment my career and become an accountant. I see online accounting degree programs, or accounting certification programs that prepare you for the CPA.

Would a potential employer rather have an applicant with an accounting degree but no CPA, or a certificate and a CPA but no degree?

Should I be working temp entry level jobs while taking classes?

i will be graduating from business school this may with an accounting degree and a 2.9 GPA. When I apply to take the CPA Exam in New Jersey, is there a possibility that they will reject my application because I have several bad grades on my transcript? Even if i do fulfill all other requirements? Do they review the transcripts very carefully? And also, what exactly are the transcripts used for? Please answer all of the questions and not just 1. thank you!
