I have a bachelors in Finance but am interested in pursuing an accounting degree and becoming a cpa….Anyone know how many classes I would have to take and also, if their grants available?

The CPA requires 150 credit hours, which is about 5 years of college. But because of AP work I will have well over 150 hours credit hours when I graduate with a bachelors. So if I sit for the CPA after I get my bachelors, will I have covered enough information to do fairly well on the exam? Or should I still get my masters in accounting to be better prepared?

I live in California but would like to live in New York. In which of those reciprocal states is the easiest and fastest to obtain? Is the CPA in CA hard? I’ve heard that in Maine you only need a bachelors. Is this true? I have a bachelors in Finance and took 2 accounting classes. I have no experience.
