Do I have to have a master’s degree to be a CPA? Or do I just need a BA and then if I specialize in something I need a master’s? I thought I read that you have to shadow a CPA before you’re certified. If that is true, is that before I take the test or after? Do places hire you with the understanding that you are working for your CPA?

I’m trying to find a CPA for my business and somebody recommended this guy but I’ve never met him. He told me he would like to see where I work which happens to be my apartment… I just find tat a bit creepy… is that a normal procedure?
