I am a international student planning to take the CPA exam in Pennsylvania. I have completed my 150 credits from a US college; however, I plan on completing the work experience requirement overseas. I know that I have to work under a CPA and I do not see that as an issue. Do you know if completing the work experience requirement overseas is allowed in Pennsylvania or any other state?

Thanks ahead for your help. =)

I’ve passed all four parts of the CPA exam (in less than 7 months!) and I obviously want to put this on my resume – I’ll be graduating in December and am currently a Free Agent.

How should I put this on my resume?

I have graduated with Masters in accounting degree last year and hasn’t been able to get a job in a CPA firm. I am 30 and may be they think I’m too old to start a career. Anyway, since I am unemployed, I am taking a CPA exam. I hope it would help me later with a job. How high are my chances to get hired if I pass a CPA exam? Also, is it hard to transfer CPA exam to another state?

I’m not sure if I would become a good accountant. Will passing the CPA exam mean that I "CAN" become a good accountant?

I have an accounting degree, am working on the CPA exam, and will complete my MS in Finance from a reputable school by next summer. I am looking for some insight as to what entry-level jobs might be in accounting, finance, consulting, etc with high growth potential, and that would want to utilize both finance and accounting knowledge. Thank you!

I’m an international student who recently graduated from a local college in New York City with a degree in accounting. While in school, I quit for about two years, and when I came back to school I never dealt with my visa status. That makes me an illegal. Now after graduation, I’d like to take a CPA exam, the questions: having no legal status, am I eligible to take it ? And, when I pass the exam, would I be able to get licensed in the state that I applied in?

How should I re-study for FAR of the CPA exam?

I took REG and got a 90 but I took AUD and got a 67 and got a 66 on FAR. I feel like a failure and that I’ll never pass my CPA exam =(. I’m re-studying for FAR and I seem to have short memory as when I study FAR from the first section to section 9 by the time I get to section 9 I have forgotten half the information of the beginning sections… What is the best way to study for someone who doesn’t retain information as well as others for the FAR section?

I am filling out a first-time application to take the CPA exam in Ohio. It asks for 4 references who are "personally acquainted with me…and believe me to be of good moral character." Are family and friends acceptable? Also, does the accounting board contact these people?

Can anyone recommend some affordable study reviews programs for the CPA exam in Los Angeles. I am looking for a review course offered in a university setting ( Ideally) with a focus on passing the CPA exam if not, any reputable and AFFORDABLE online classes could also be an option.
