I current have my Associates and I’m working on my Bachelors, I have worked a few Accounts Clerks job doing A/P, A/R. Payroll etc. Is there any state that will allow me to take the CPA without having yet earned my Bachelors degree?

I will be graduating shortly from Ohio State University with a degree in Accounting but I have not landed a job yet. I really want to work for the big 4 but since I have not received an offer, I was thinking of studying for the CPA and passing it then trying again which should hopefully increase my chances. I will be working only part-time so I can fully focus on studying. I am pretty good at studying by dedicating myself therefore I will probably buy the Roger Philip online CPA review course. Anyways, how much time do you think I should dedicate to studying each section if I really don’t have any other engagements. I appreciate all comments. Thanks.

I was wondering if an accountant can charge for taxes when they aren’t for there job? I know people aren’t allowed to charge unless their a CPA but I don’t know if a regular accountant is allowed to.

What is more in demand. I am trying to pursue my MBA in finance and accounting, then going for CPA or MBA in Information Systems management. Just coming out of school which will most likely land me a job without experience? The I have been working as a medical secretary for four years.

Do I need a CPA to file my tax returns?

I have a salary job making ,000 and this is my first full-time position. Do I need to hire a CPA? What’s the best and cheapest way to file my taxes? Any help is appreciated!

I graduated with my Bachelors in Accounting in 2007. I have worked as an Accountant since then. I want to improve my skills and get a better job. Should I go to grad school, or should I buy a CPA book and start studying for my CPA exam? I have learned a lot from being an accountant, and what would be more beneficial for me? Would I be able to take my CPA exam (and understand its information) without doing my masters?

I am not sure where will i stay (permanently) reside and get a job, but either New York or California. And i am about to pursue my CPA licensure. Is there any difference in obtaining the license at two different state? For example, if i get my license from CA will it be difficult for me to get a job in NY and vice versa? Please advice.

Thank you in advance.

My goal is to be an external auditor. I live in an area with no jobs, but I will move to the city after graduation. Where should I look for my first accounting job and when do I study for the CPA. What takes priority? Will an auditing firm hire me as a rookie auditor with no experience but a bachelor’s in Accounting.

Would taking an internship at a CPA firm be good?

I am a high school student, and am considering taking an interview at a CPA firm, it provides auditing, taxation, business management and outsourced accounting services to many businesses. The business is recognized as a top 25 firm in the DC area. I am doing this to help me get into a good college and make some money. Would this job be really boring? Would it be worth it over the summer?

I have passed the CPA exam. I do not have tax experience other than doing my own tax returns, but I am very interested in tax and read a lot about taxes in my free time. I would like to apply for a tax job at the IRS, but I am a little concerned about a possible pay cut. At what pay level would someone in my situation typically start? Thanks.
