Which CPA review course have you taken and which do you reccomend?
I am graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in just two weeks. I have decided to not pursue a job but take the next couple of months to study and dedicated my time to passing the CPA exam. Interested in seeing which review course people have take and how their overall experience was with them. Becker is always pushed so heavily at my school but am interested in hearing about others as well! THANK YOU!

I graduated with a BBA in Accounting and about the only review course around was the Becker. Plus, the location was very convenient. I’m not sure if Becker himself still narrates the course. He kind of bugged me; but in fairness, I really liked the way he explained things. There were also two respected and reputable CPA’s who conducted the course.
I think back then the cost was $300. I’m not sure of the specifics – it also depends if you need to review all four parts of the exam.
I seriously doubt I would have passed the exam without a review course. I passed the first three parts the first time and the fourth part the second time. Since then, I have heard a lot about various review courses and have come to believe they are basically all the same. You review a lot material again but mostly you learn how to take the actual exam, *under exam conditions* – with that same material.
My state did not require the 150 hours to sit for the exam and I did just fine. Further, most of my peers passed the exam the first time around. Be sure you meet the educational hours and do not require additional hours. There is a link below. I’m sure you know all this by now, but still.
Good luck!
